Donation for education

Devotees both in India and abroad have been inquiring about discounts and scholarship for our courses.

Some devotees are studying in schools and universities, and are unable to afford the course fee. There are also other devotees who are eager to study Srila Prabhupada’s books deeply but are not financially sound. And there are temple-dependent brahmacaris, grhasthas and children of practicing devotees who would like to get an opportunity to systematically study Srila Prabhupada’s books.

Sankarsana Nitai Prabhu, ISKCON Mayapur’s Educational Divisional Head, has considered their plight and set out the following policy:

  1. Discounts: Devotees from any asrama who are financially dependent on an ISKCON temple can avail of a 20% discount, provided they submit a recommendation from their local temple president.
  2. Scholarship fund: We will create a scholarship fund for devotees entitled Vidya-dana.
    1. When generous devotees donate to this fund, we will be able to provide scholarship to any devotee connected to ISKCON who applies for it, provided he/she submits a recommendation from the local temple president.
    2. Until then, devotees who are not financially dependent on an ISKCON temple are requested to arrange for their own sponsors.
